Spring 2025 NYC TRIP
Join FMA to explore the heart of global finance with a visit to Wall Street, experience the excitement of the financial markets up close!
The FMA’s spring 2025 trip to NYC will be departing campus on Wed Apr 2 at 5 PM and returning to campus on Sat Apr 5 at approximately 5 PM (departing NYC at 12 pm). The final cost per student will depend on incurred costs, but in recent years have been no more than $160 per person before discounts. This covers the bus transportation and hotel. Additional details such as hotels and site visits will be shared with participants closer to the trip. 💵 Students can pay the deposit with cash or check to Ms. Jodie Gallons, the administrative assistant for the finance department. She is located on the second floor of Perdue Hall in the faculty wing. Checks should be made out to FMA at SU with the note reading “NYC deposit”. Students should make sure to receive and keep a receipt from Ms. Gallons.

CFA Institute Investment Research Challenge
This annual global equity research competition provides university students with hands-on mentoring and intensive training in financial analysis. Working in teams, students gain real-world experience as they assume the role of research analysts and are judged on their ability to value a stock, write a research report, and present their recommendations. Jointly hosted by CFA Society Baltimore (CFASB) and CFA Society Washington, DC (CFAW).
